Attentive to market demands and developments within the sector, ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS is opening a new chapter in its history. By choosing to be held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 29 June to 1 July 2027, the trade fair aims to strengthen its ability to bring decision-makers together, facilitate business meetings and offer a more vibrant, accessible and unifying experience. Chantal de Lamotte, the trade fair’s director, discusses the ambitions for the 2027 edition, which is designed to create greater value for exhibitors and visitors alike.

ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS will now take place from 29 June to 1 July 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Why was this decision made?

Chantal de Lamotte: This decision is the result of extensive listening work carried out with exhibitors, visitors, partners and, more broadly, stakeholders across the sector. We are operating in an environment that has changed profoundly in recent years, with new economic, regulatory, industrial and environmental challenges.

In the current context, we felt it was our responsibility to take a step back and ask ourselves a simple question: what are the best conditions to allow the sector to come together, exchange ideas and do business?

The choice to change venue responds precisely to this ambition. This is not simply about moving an event. It is about creating the conditions for an edition that is more unifying and more useful for the entire ecosystem.

I am convinced that this evolution represents a real opportunity to strengthen the value of the show for our exhibitors, our visitors and the entire packaging sector.

You refer to a “new chapter” for ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS. What does this mean in concrete terms?

Chantal de Lamotte: We chose this expression because it perfectly reflects the mindset we are in today.

ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS has a strong history, recognised legitimacy and a unique position within the French and European packaging ecosystem. But we do not want to simply build on this heritage. We also want to prepare for the future.

This new chapter is about reaffirming our role as a trade show serving the entire packaging value chain, while evolving the experience we offer. We want more machines in demonstration, more interaction, more qualified meetings and more business-generating moments for the companies taking part. Our ambition is simple: to make ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS an even more dynamic, more concrete event, better connected to market expectations.

Why did you choose Paris Expo Porte de Versailles?

Chantal de Lamotte: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles offers many advantages for our community.

First, there is the question of accessibility. Central Paris is a particularly attractive destination for French and international visitors. It makes travel, business meetings and participation over one or several days easier.

Then there is everything that happens around the show. A professional event is no longer limited to what takes place in the exhibition aisles. Exchanges can continue during evening events or informal meetings.

Paris provides an exceptional setting for this. It is a city of business, innovation, design and international influence. We want to fully integrate this dimension into the ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS experience.

Finally, this new environment will allow us to strengthen an essential element: conviviality. Business is also built through human encounters, spontaneous exchanges and shared moments.

What benefits can exhibitors expect from this new configuration?

Chantal de Lamotte: Exhibitors are at the heart of our thinking.

Our priority is to enable them to meet more decision-makers, generate more business opportunities and optimise their return on investment.

The positioning of the show in June 2027 will allow us to fit more favourably into the sector’s business cycles and the international calendar of major industry events.

We will also continue our work to mobilise a qualified visitor base, with particular attention paid to decision-makers, buyers and specifiers. In particular, we want to strengthen the presence of decision-makers, buyers and specifiers from French-speaking markets.

For an exhibitor, the question is not only how many visitors will attend. The real question is: will I meet the right people? This is where we are focusing all our efforts.

One of the strong ambitions of the 2027 edition is to strengthen the presence of machines in operation. Why is this such an important marker for ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS?

Chantal de Lamotte: Because packaging is an industry that needs to be experienced and demonstrated.

Visitors need to see equipment in action, observe performance, understand technologies and speak directly with the experts who design them.

We want to give this industrial dimension its full place again, as it is part of the historical DNA of ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS.

Seeing a machine operate, understanding a production line or observing a solution in real conditions often remains the best way to validate a project or an investment.

How do you imagine the visitor experience in 2027?

Chantal de Lamotte: We want to offer a smoother, more immersive and more inspiring experience.

Visitors will of course come to discover solutions, meet suppliers and move their projects forward. But we want to go further.

They will leave with concrete answers to their challenges, a better understanding of market developments and a clearer vision of the transformations ahead.

The show will therefore be a place for business, but also a place of inspiration, forward thinking and experience sharing.

We are already working on many initiatives that will strengthen this dimension.

You often mention conviviality and even a certain sense of festivity. Is this compatible with a B2B trade show?

Chantal de Lamotte: It has become essential.

Trade shows are above all places for meetings. In a world where virtual exchanges occupy a growing place, moments of physical meeting create very different forms of interaction and exchange.

Creating favourable conditions for networking, encouraging exchanges between peers, allowing communities to come together and share their experiences: all of this contributes to the success of an event.

When I talk about conviviality or festivity, I am not talking about entertainment for entertainment’s sake. I am talking about creating an atmosphere that encourages connections, discussions and opportunities.

Business is often born from a meeting. Our role is to make those meetings possible.

What role does ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS want to play for the sector in the years ahead?

Chantal de Lamotte: Packaging is at the heart of today’s major industrial transformations .

It responds to challenges linked to environmental transition, innovation, industrial performance, sovereignty, regulation and competitiveness. Few sectors sit at the crossroads of so many strategic issues.

Our responsibility is to support these transformations by creating a place where stakeholders can meet, debate, discover solutions and build the future together.

ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS must be a business accelerator, but also an accelerator of ideas, solutions and collaborations.

This is the ambition guiding the preparation of the 2027 edition.

What message would you like to send today to the show’s exhibitors, visitors and partners?

Chantal de Lamotte: This new step, which we are approaching with enthusiasm, will allow participants to experience 3 days of a new business experience.

This evolution is not simply a change of venue and calendar. It is an opportunity to build together a stronger and more useful edition for the entire sector.

We know we can count on an engaged, innovative community that is resolutely focused on the future to write and experience this new story together.
