SGT, a PET and rPET preform manufacturer based in Rezé, has acquired Axium Packaging, a specialist in bottle, jar, and cap injection and blow molding. Operating in France, Czech Republic, Italy, and Germany, Axium posted €76M in revenue in 2024. This acquisition strengthens SGT’s industrial and technological capabilities, expanding its portfolio to sectors such as cosmetics, hygiene, and beauty. Both companies share a strong eco-responsibility commitment. In 2023, SGT reported over €300M in revenue with nearly 400 clients across Europe and Africa.

In mid-January, SGT, a manufacturer of PET and rPET preforms based in Rezé (Loire-Atlantique), announced the acquisition of Axium Packaging, a leading expert in the injection and blow moulding of bottles, jars and closures.

‘With production sites in France, the Czech Republic, Italy and Germany, this acquisition will enable the SGT Group to strengthen its industrial capacity and broaden its technological offering, while maintaining a shared commitment to eco-responsibility,’ SGT said after acquiring the company, which generated sales of €76 million in 2024.

The deal opens up new horizons for SGT: ‘The acquisition of Axium Packaging gives the SGT Group access to new areas of expertise, particularly in injection and extrusion blow-moulding, while expanding its product portfolio. This strategic fit strengthens operational synergies, consolidates the Group's presence on the European market and creates new opportunities in sectors such as cosmetics, hygiene and beauty’.

Founded in 1981, the SGT Group generated sales of over 300 million euros in 2023, with a portfolio of nearly 400 customers in Europe and Africa.
