3P France, a manufacturer of insulated bags for over 30 years, is expanding its range by lowering the minimum thresholds for customisation.

A manufacturer of insulated bags for over 30 years, 3P France serves a diverse customer base comprising retailers, wholesalers, resellers, food shops and food manufacturers. The company draws on its industrial expertise and a consistent service vision focused on quality, reliability and adaptation to its customers' needs. 3P France offers a complete range of insulated bags with capacities ranging from 8 to 34 litres. These solutions are designed to meet a variety of professional uses, with several types of handles available depending on logistical and usage constraints: integrated handles, attached handles with studs or zip handles. This diversity of formats and configurations covers a wide range of applications, from retail to larger food distribution flows.

Growing demand for customised packaging

For several years now, 3P France has seen growing demand from its customers for customised packaging. Cooler bags no longer serve solely as a means of transport or thermal insulation: they have also become a communication tool that can be used to promote a brand or retailer to consumers.

Until now, however, the customisation of insulated bags has been constrained by high production thresholds linked to the technical requirements of industrial printing. The minimum requirements were between 6,000 and 7,000 bags, which limited access to this service for many players, particularly independent retailers and medium-sized businesses.

Lower production thresholds thanks to new standards

In order to respond to these changing expectations, 3P France has decided to evolve its offering by significantly lowering the manufacturing thresholds for customised production. Thanks to the implementation of new production standards, developed in collaboration with its printing partners, customisation is now possible from 3,500 to 4,000 bags depending on the model, equivalent to two pallets.

This development opens up access to customisation for new customer profiles, such as supermarkets, grocers, food retailers, caterers, ice cream parlours and patisseries. For these players, the customisation of insulated bags is a relevant lever to strengthen their visibility and brand image, while remaining compatible with controlled order volumes.

Printing options tailored to brand needs

The customisation offered by 3P France is based on flexographic printing processes ranging from one to six Pantone colours, with the option of using four-colour process printing depending on the project. This flexibility allows the graphic design to be adapted to the visual guidelines of brands and retailers, while ensuring print quality that meets industry standards.

To support its customers in this process, 3P France offers its design service. This service is involved at every stage of the project, providing the necessary support such as cutting plans and mock-ups to ensure the graphic design phase is complete before production begins.

Packaging that is both functional and responsible

The customised insulated bags offered by 3P France are part of a responsible production approach. They are made from a single material, low-density polyethylene, with a triple-wall structure. The bags are 100% recyclable and made from more than 70% recycled material.

They are also designed to be reusable and washable, and are approved for food contact. These characteristics allow users to combine functional performance, durability and consistency with their environmental commitments.

A structured and controlled manufacturing process

The customisation process remains unchanged. It begins with the submission of the design to be printed in the form of a vectorised file, followed by the creation of a mock-up. A digital proof is then submitted for approval before production begins.

The outer film is printed with the customer's design, then the bags are manufactured at the 3P France factory before being delivered. All of these steps take approximately eight weeks to complete.
